One of my favorite parts about summer in the northeast is the beautiful blooms of Hydrangeas – pink, blue, and even sometimes whitish-green. And this year, 2024, was a banner year for Hydrangeas. My fiancé and I couldn’t help but point them out to each other each time we were out walking or driving, to the point that we started prefacing it with “you know what I’m about to say, but – look at that hydrangea over there!”
I did my best to get photos of all the good ones, but unfortunately this is just one of those times that photography can’t hold a candle to the real thing.
Shot on my Nikon D3300.

A beautiful bloom from out front of a friends’ house on Long Beach Island, NJ – this was right as the plants were coming into bloom, before we know what a great summer it would be for them
