Greece 2025
A series of photos from a recent trip to Greece. My wife and I were fortunate enough to be able to extend a trip for a wedding into a long-awaited vacation.
Our first few days were spent in Athens. Like Rome, it’s overflowing with historical sites that people live with and among all day – you might turn a corner and find a coffee shop sharing a wall with an ancient temple.

We then drove from Athens to the Peloponnesian coast, stopping at the ruins of Corinth and Mycenae on our way to Nafplio.
Ruins with thousands of years between

There was something spooky about the ruins of Mycenae. It was as close as anything has ever felt to me to being haunted. Maybe it was just that I have never been at a ruin that old before – it felt impossibly ancient and remote, being so much older than the ruins of more-familiar Classical and Hellenistic-era sites.

Then, after a beautiful drive down out of the hills, through the orange groves near the coastal plain, we arrived in Nafplio for the weekend at the beach.
